The outlaw Harry Tracy's Cabin on Loon Lake, Washington. One of the most notorious people to ever live in Loon Lake was Harry Tracy. Harry Tracy worked as a lumberjack for Mr. Dunlap in the winter of 1896-97 and it was during this time that he lived in a cabin on Loon Lake near the island. He was said to be friendly and a good worker. His life of crime started in the spring of 1897 after he left Loon Lake and headed south. It was a five year period that put Tracy's name into the record books as one of the most feared outlaws in the West. Some people say he was heading back to Loon Lake in 1902 when his life was ended in a wheat field near Creston, Washington after a long manhunt.
